XMAS

It is no longer freezing in Kansas. I only ran 3 miles today. I skipped out on the 4th to say hi to Rebecca's family and see a little bit of NL Xmas Vacation. That movie is awesome.

My results for the NYRR Holiday 4 Mile 2008
I'm not sure why it says I'm 35. My goal was to come in under 45 minutes :)

The 4 mile is in the morning and I should be in bed. I know, but I was so excited about this 3 layer pan that I really wanted to post it first. Ok, i'm getting little tired of me, I want to animate something else. But first I will sleep then run. Yeah. Good night. wish me luck.

BTW. it turns out that the soccer fields are flooded from yesterdays rain. YAY. Perhaps I can still play next Friday...

4 Mile race this Saturday

This Saturday I have a four mile race in Central Park. I'm pretty excited although I have a tough decision to make with my 11pm soccer game on Friday night. I'm afraid I won't perform well Saturday if I play at such a late hour. On the other hand it is our last game and I have been playing Forward and want to get better. On other hand I hurt my knee last game and I couldn't run last weekend. on the other hand I have a knee brace and could take a cab home so I don't have to wait on the local A train...

Ok I decided no game, although I will miss it :(

Welcome to my running blog

This is a little flash animation I'm working on for my fund raising website.

As you probably know I'm training for the Rome marathon in March with Team in Training. So, I'm running and focusing on running and trying to raise 5,900 dollars for the The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society by March 5th. 75 cents of each dollar donated goes to cancer research and donations are 100% tax deductible.

If you would like to donate, please follow the link in the side bar. I would totally appreciate any size contribution. And/or send this page to others who like marathons or fighting cancer or run with me. There are plenty of chances for that as I will be running in central park for the next 4 months and running around Ark City Ks over the Christmas Holiday.

According to last weeks practice I realized I animated bad form. I should be relaxing my shoulders and keeping my forearms down. We practiced a technique called Tikki Tikki which is used to climb up long hills. It sort of reminds me of the shuffle run on Scooby-Doo.

It's at 0:27 and again at 0:31 in the opposite direction. I love Hanna-Barbara.
